Estimated Loud Speaker Impulse Response to Cancel Aural Reverberation
Main Article Content
Abstract
Man machine interaction requires an acoustic interface for providing full duplex hands-free communication. Adaptive filtering techniques are used in a wide range of applications, including echo cancellation, adaptive equalization, adaptive noise cancellation, and adaptive beam forming. In this paper, we present a new approach to acoustic echo cancellation for a teleconferencing system including a loudspeaker for which an estimate of the loudspeaker impulse response is available. We show that the new approach reduces the computational complexity for echo cancellation algorithms.
