Abstract

:   In today's digital era, the exchange of important documents over the internet has become increasingly common in sectors such as education, healthcare, legal systems, and government administration. However, traditional centralized systems used for document transmission face several security challenges including data tampering, unauthorized access, and single points of failure. Blockchain technology offers a decentralized and tamper-resistant approach that can significantly enhance the security and integrity of digital document transmission. This research paper proposes a blockchain-based framework for the secure transmission and verification of crucial documents over the internet. The proposed system utilizes cryptographic hashing, decentralized ledger technology, and distributed verification mechanisms to ensure that documents remain authentic and unchanged during transmission. In this approach, documents are encrypted and their cryptographic hashes are stored on the blockchain, allowing receivers to verify document integrity using the blockchain ledger. The system also integrates decentralized storage mechanisms such as InterPlanetary File System (IPFS) for efficient document management. The proposed framework improves transparency, reliability, and security while minimizing dependency on centralized authorities. The results demonstrate that blockchain technology can significantly reduce risks associated with document forgery, tampering, and unauthorized modifications. This study highlights the potential of blockchain in building a trustworthy digital infrastructure for secure document exchange
