Abstract

Clouddatacentersonintegrationwithvirtualizationprovidesthedynamicandflexibleresourceprovisioningforth ecomputationorprocessingofthedataintensiveapplications.Tocarryouttheoperationsefficientlyinvirtualizedenvironment,energyconsumptionhasbecomeoneo fmajorchallenges.ThereforeoptimalvirtualmachinemappingtothePhysicalMachinesarerequiredotherwisepowerconsumptioncandrasticallyhiket heoverallcost.Thispaperproposesanovelmulti-objectiveapproachforallocatingtheVirtualMachines(VMs)usingdynamicdatastructureRTreewhichisanalogoustobinpackingproblem.CloudSimtoolkitisusedtoconductthesimulationandresultsareanalyzed,whic hshowsthereductioninenergyconsumptionandSLAViolations.Hence,providesenoughscopeforfutureresearch.
