IOT BASED COMPREHENSIVE MONITORING OF NETWORK AND RELATED INFRASTRUCTURE
Main Article Content
Abstract
IoT (Internet of Things) is poised to transform the real world objects into intelligent virtual objects in near future. The IoT aims to merge everything in our world under a common infrastructure, giving us not only the control of things around us, but also keeping us informed of the state of the things. Today, as sensing, communication, and control become ever more complex this technology is applied in transforming the Internet into a fully integrated eco system. IoT is the next revolutionary technology in transforming the Internet into a fully integrated Future ready Internet. “Internet of Things†connects, living and non living things through internet. Internet of things is becoming more and more popular day by day. Here, the phrase Internet of Things presents a vision of the future Internet where all the physical things are connected. IoT allows people and things to be connected at any time,  any place, with anything and anyone, by using any path/network and any service.

Life is getting simpler and easier in all aspects. In today’s world automatic systems are being preferred over manual systems. The advances in computer hardware, embedded system devices, networking devices, display devices, control devices, software enhancements etc have hugely supported IoT to grow rapidly. IoT can be defined as a network of physical objects, devices that contain embedded technology (like intelligent sensors, controllers etc.)
Â
The main objective of this paper is to discuss a framework for IoT based monitoring of network infrastructure and its associated peripheral devices/equipments for parameters like temperature and power supply etc. using appropriate sensors.
