Abstract

Femtocell networks and small-cells have recently received substantial attention from industry and academia. As it enhances the networks coverage and capacity, and minimizes both cost and power, it has been commenced as a solution to the indoor coverage problems. Though the various applications (internet services and videos) were built and the number of mobile subscribers grew greatly, on the basis of this it was believed that the future mobile systems should provide optimized coverage, high capacity and efficient resource utilization. In the present work we studied femtocells on the dedicated and shared basis and also on the presence of UE with respect to the base station. The capacity enhances and the performance is achieved when the base station is close to the end user. There is no outdoor wall loss when both femto BS and UE lie in the same house and therefore it gives better throughput than other two cases.
